It is with great excitement and joy that Auntie’s Home welcomes our new Executive Director, Ms. Kaniya Walker. She comes to us by way of Heart to Hand where she also continues to serve and bring leadership in outreach to marginalized communities dealing with HIV and other health related challenges. Kaniya has a wealth of knowledge and experience engaging the community around trans-related issues including access to HIV care, mental health resources, in addition to legal matters. She steps in to bring the energy and vision needed as Auntie’s Home re-aligns our vision to meet the current crisis facing the community at-large. With many years of advocacy and policy work, along with non-profit experience, Auntie’s Home is in not good, but rather great hands as we continue moving forward into the future.
